WITH ERIC SIMON

At T&T we pride ourselves in the team we’ve built over the years. We continue to do our best to show our appreciation for each individual who has helped bring us to where we are today. In an effort to allow our clients to get to know us better, we are highlighting one of our team members, Eric Simons. Eric is a Sales Account Manager who exemplifies our core values and has worked diligently to learn every facet of what we do and how we do it. 

 

What is your role at T&T Enterprises?

I manage the day to day relationships with our existing clients, as well as helping prospective clients. We are a relationship-based company and I am one of the team members who creates and builds those relationships on the company’s behalf. My goal is always to excel at communication with customers, as well as our team, in order to hold true to our promise to work fast and exceed expectations. 

 

Inside look of what an average day on the job looks like?

My days are usually pretty exciting and there’s never a dull moment. From the time I wake up, my inbox is already full of requests for quotes and questions from customers. By the time I get into the office, I usually have a list of vendors to follow up with, or production travelers to create. We stay pretty busy, but I truly enjoy every moment. I’m a people person by nature, so seeing a customer get what they need brings me satisfaction.

How long have you been working with T&T Enterprises?

I have been at T&T for seven years now, and it will be eight years this November.

 

How has this role shaped you as an individual and employee?

Working as a sales account manager at T&T has definitely taught me character, and it’s shown me that there is always more to learn, and a new challenge is always around the corner.

Best Moments vs Most Challenging Moments?

I think these two go hand in hand at T&T Enterprises. With the industry we serve and the quick turnarounds that we must deliver, any job is a potential challenge. That could mean anything from hitting a deadline to coordinating employees or machines. But the reward comes at the end of the day when we have promised a customer we would deliver when no one else could, and WE DO!

 

What sets you apart on the team?

My sense of humor. This truly is a difficult question, especially because everyone on our team will bend over backwards at any given time to help out. I am lucky to have the ALL-STAR team that we have built. We all bring great things to the table, but I feel like my sense of humor is definitely one of my unique qualities.

 

How would you compare where you are now vs where you started?

It has been a fun adventure and I have been fortunate in my journey. I started at the very bottom- assembling, cleaning, and trying to learn everything I could about nuts and bolts. I have far more experience now and am able to use everything that I’ve learned along the way to understand the needs of our clients and exceed their expectations. I have worked almost every position at T&T and without that experience, I wouldn’t be the Account Manager that I am today. 

 

How do you exemplify and/or foster the core values of T&T: quality, integrity and accountability?

I TRY… everyday I wake up and come in to work, I make sure to put my best foot forward. I strive to make sure that the work I do is of the highest quality. Personal and professional integrity is important to me, so it is at the core of everything that I do here. I take full accountability for my decisions, my actions and role, even on a granular level and I treat everyone the way I would like to be treated

 

What is your favorite part of what you do at T&T?

My favorite part about T&T is the team. They are my second family, and we all have each other’s backs and look out for each other.
